The village

Ticehurst is both a village and large civil parish. Within Ticehurst there is a vibrant, buzzing community with an active village club. The club hosts regular social events and fundraisers and produces a monthly newsletter called News and Views. Schools

Ticehurst offers a great primary school, Ticehurst and Flimwell Church of England Primary School, which was rebuilt in 2004 and so offers up to date learning platforms. Within the primary school Ladybirds Nursery operates and offers a high standard of care from birth through to preschool. Although there are no secondary schools in Ticehurst there is Uplands Community College which offers learning from year 7 to year 13.

Sport

Ticehurst offers Dale Hill golf club with has two 18 hole golf courses, a driving range, practice bunker and two putting greens. Dale Hill also has a leisure club with offers a fully air conditioned gym and heated indoor swimming pool. Ticehurst has its own football club, Ticehurst FC. Further afield but not far is Bewl Water which has a huge amount water activities including windsurfing, sailing and boating.

There is no nightlife in Ticehurst but there are some excellent places to eat and drink. The Chequers Inn located in the heart of the village. The Cherry Tree Inn serves traditional pub food and a range of beers, wines and ales. The Bell Inn is serves great food sorced locally, offers rooms to stay and a venue for celebrating in and even getting married!
